India, Jan. 26 -- Last year, Sona Mohapatra added a new feather to her hat by helming Shut Up Sona, a 90 minute docu-drama that captured her performances, travels and love for India's roots and folk music. It documented her rise to becoming one of the most formidable voices in India's #MeToo movement. Months after its premiere, the singer-performer says that it has positively impacted her personal and professional life. "As an artiste, it's a validation of my quest to take charge of my own destiny and narrative, instead of waiting for others to give me opportunities for expression. I plan to create independent content and tell stories from a feminine perspective. I hope many more go through the grind of backing their vision instead of just being a pretty face," she says....
