Slurrp Great Indian Cookout 4.0 Wraps Nationwide Tour As Delhi Crowns Final Champion
India, Nov. 30 -- The Slurrp Great Indian Cookout 4.0 concluded its four-city culinary journey on November 22 at Radisson Hotel Delhi MG Road, crowning Neha Gupta as the Delhi champion after a fierce competition amongst home chefs from across the capital.
Presented by USHA and co-presented by Aashirvaad, the finale marked the end of a remarkable November tour that celebrated India's home chef revolution under the 'Gully to Gourmet' theme. From 9,000 nationwide entries, three finalists, Neha Gupta, Astha Agarwal, and Vinisha Thakur, competed using Aashirvaad's wide range of products for the coveted title and the chance to walk away with Rs 50,000 worth of innovative USHA appliances. "The Delhi edition was Dilli ki asli rooh on full display," said Avinash Mudaliar, CEO and Co-Founder of HT Labs. "With passionate food lovers, the energy refused to dip even for a moment. Neha's winning creation was inventive, indulgent, and absolutely unforgettable."
Mumbai's journey began on November 1, where Shobha Halkati triumphed with her Beetroot Tart featuring Rasmalai Filling and Guava Gel, a refined interpretation of the beloved Indian sweet. The tour continued to Kolkata on November 8, and Mithu Saha claimed victory with Sweet Potato Papdi Chaat and Soya Thecha, offering a healthier reinterpretation of Kolkata's famous alukabli. Bengaluru hosted the third edition on November 16, where Himanshi Bhardwaj secured the title with Rava Tortilla with Mushroom Chhole, remarkably her first attempt at cooking with mushrooms.
Delhi's finale saw three finalists compete across two rounds. Neha Gupta's flower-shaped momo, crafted from atta and sooji dough, served with Gujarati kadhi, impressed judges and secured her win. Runner-up Astha Agarwal presented a layered parfait inspired by rabri jalebi with fresh jalebi and strawberry compote.
Each city featured demonstrations by renowned chefs championing regional cuisines. "What an incredible experience being the Judge-in-Chief across all four cities," said Chef Neha Deepak Shah. "Every plate told a story of home, of heritage, of heart."
