India, May 13 -- Actor Simu Liu announced his engagement to girlfriend Allison Hsu with an Instagram post on Sunday. A joint post shared by the couple showed Allison showing off her ring as the two posed in front of the Paris cityscape, as well as in front of the Eiffel Tower. "Us forever," the caption read. Not long after, Simu posted another picture from the proposal and wrote, "From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always." Speaking about his engagement the actor told People magazine, "Everyone knows the feeling of being in a situation where they're not fully happy, and then all of a sudden for that to change ... it's such a breath of relief." Simu (36) is known for his roles in Shang-Chi (2021) and the sitcom Kim's Convenience, while Allison (28) is a marketing director at a record label.
