Sidhant on life in J&K after Pahalgam attack: It's much safer now

ctor Sidhant, who hails from Jammu & Kashmir, says that people back home are still reeling from the after-effects of the Pahalgam terror attack one year on, though things are improving.
"My mother just went to Kashmir and in the photos and videos, I could see that she was just feeling free. The government has taken charge, and that's why it feels safer than before. But at the same time, it's been so traumatic for people; they've lived their life on the edge. But jab safe feel hota hai toh saans aani shuru hoti hai, that's where it's at. I hope things get better sooner than later," says the actor, who celebrates his birthday today.
Known for web series such as Jubilee (2023) and Freedom at Midnight (2024), where he has played protagonists with a soft demeanour, the actor is now stepping into a more physically aggressive role in his upcoming show Teen Kauwe. Does he feel this shift reflects a growing trend in cinema, especially with films like Animal (2023) and Dhurandhar (2025), which feature violent protagonists, performing well at the box office?
"It's not that if the audience is liking a cola, you bring out more brands of it. While business is important for films, it's the individual's language that has been missing for a while. A story needs to stem from an authentic place for it to work," he ends....
