Shubman Gill, Smriti Mandhana win top honours at BCCI Naman Awards 2026
India, March 17 -- At the BCCI Naman Awards 2026, held in Mumbai on Sunday, India's star batters Shubman Gill and Smriti Mandhana were honoured as the Best International Cricketers of the Year for their performances during the 2024-25 season.
Gill received the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for the Best International Men's Cricketer, marking the second time he has claimed the honour. Mandhana, meanwhile, was named Best International Women's Cricketer of the Year, earning the recognition for the fifth time in her career.
The ceremony also celebrated some of the biggest names in Indian cricket history. Former players Roger Binny, Rahul Dravid, and Mithali Raj were conferred with the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, the BCCI's highest honour, for their outstanding contributions to the sport.
Binny, a member of India's historic 1983 World Cup-winning squad, was recognised for both his playing career and his service to Indian cricket as a former BCCI president, while Dravid and Raj were honoured for their lasting impact on the men's and women's games....
