Shaan: Indian acts are nowat par with international ones
India, Dec. 10 -- Singer Shaan recalls that until five years ago, most concerts were free. He says, "With the rise of ticket paying audience, expectations from concerts have pushed the performer and the production team to up their game. Our Indian acts are now at par with international ones. No matter how many hits we have had or how popular we are, we need to deliver a power packed super entertaining and immersive experience to our audience if we want to hold on to their patronage. It's ofcourse a great rush for an artiste to perform for a ticket paying audience. It brings them closer to their real fans."
The popular singer says with time, experience, and through trial and error, over the past three-four years, concerts in the country have seen many improvements in terms of sound, stage, facilities and crowd management. "It is still in a very nascent market but we are in the right direction. We have our 'artiste rider' that is detailed to the T about the setup, all requirements, safety and security of the audience, including terms and conditions. Mostly all non negotiable. This also makes the organisers' life easy. There can be logistical issues and we mutually find a solution," says Shaan....
