India, Jan. 21 -- As they prepare to welcome their first baby, actor-couple Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram are dreaming beyond nurseries and name lists. What they want most, Lin says, is for their child to grow up rooted in the natural world, much like they did. "We want our child to grow up with that same sense of wonder, close to Nature, grounded, and aware of the importance of protecting the environment. To respect all living beings, to live simply, and to understand that we are a part of nature, not separate from it," she says. The couple, who announced the pregnancy in December on their second anniversary, often retreat from the bustle of city life: "Both of us grew up in small towns where childhood meant climbing trees and running in fields. Those experiences shaped our curiosity and compassion." She adds that both she and Randeep plan to take maternity and paternity breaks as they step into parenthood....
