Ram Charan poses with his Madame Tussauds statue
India, May 12 -- Actor Ram Charan and his pet Rhyme have been immortalised by the Madame Tussauds wax museum. The launch of their statue took place in London and Ram's father, actor Chiranjeevi, mother Surekha, wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, daughter Klin Kaara Konidela, and Rhyme also accompanied him to the event. The statue was placed on a sofa. Ram and Rhyme then sat down next to the statue and strike the same pose as the statue.
Earlier in the day, Ram Charan greeted fans who had gathered outside Madame Tussauds to catch a glimpse of him. Many fans took to X to express their happiness at the statue unveiling. One fan wrote, "Today's achievement adds another Feather in the Cap of your Hard work and Dedication My BOSS (sic)." Another called him "Royal Charan." One fan gushed, "What a high moment. The pride of Indian cinema."
Meanwhile, an X user called them out for their lack of 'civic sense'. The user took to X to share a video of the fans screaming and playing dhols as the security of Madame Tussauds discussed something with the actor and his team. Posting it, he claimed, "Eroju kontha mandhi chesina chiller panlaki #RamCharan ni kalise opportunity miss aindhi. (Due to some fans, I couldn't meet Ram Charan again.) As a hardcore fan, I can understand the excitement around, but you need to have some civic sense when you are living abroad. Britishers are disgusted and laughing, looking at our behaviour (sic)."
