People talk rubbish on podcasts: Salman takes dig at Abhinav Kashyap
India, Sept. 29 -- After filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap made allegations against Salman Khan, whom he worked with in Dabangg (2010), the actor indirectly took a dig at filmmaker during a recent episode of his reality show. Abhinav had earlier slammed Salman by calling him 'badtameez and gunda,' and even criticised his family.
Without naming names, Salman (59) said, "Those who once associated with me are also targeting me these days. People I've had connections with, those who once praised me, are now saying all sorts of nonsense. These days, people go on podcasts and talk rubbish, simply because they have nothing better to do."
Back when the film had released in 2010, Abhinav had a major falling out with the Khan family. With the film completing 15 years, Abhinav spoke about his relationship with Salman in a recent interview with Screen. He said, "Salman is never involved. He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn't been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity. He is a gunda. I was not aware of this before Dabangg. Salman badtameez hai, ganda insaan hai."
Abhinav, who is the brother of Gangs of Wasseypur director Anurag Kashyap, also went on to call Salman the "father of the star system in Bollywood."
