India, May 18 -- It's more disappointing news for fans of the Hera Pheri franchise. The development of the third and latest instalment has hit yet another roadblock. Actor Paresh Rawal, who played Baburao Ganpatrao Apte aka Babu Bhaiya, has decided to walk out of the film. "Yes, it's a fact," the actor said when we reached out to him for confirmation. While Paresh did not reveal the reason behind his exit, reports doing the rounds claim that it was owing to "creative differences". We reached out to director Priyadarshan as well, but received no response at the time of going to press. The making of Hera Pheri's third instalment has been riddled with problems. In 2015, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan were brought onboard as the cast underwent changes. However, both actors later dropped out of the film. In 2025, it was announced that Kartik Aaryan would be part of the new film; and on April 3 this year, HT City broke the news that the OG team - actors Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh - were shooting a film asset with director Priyadarshan.
