India, March 2 -- N early two decades after its sleeper-hit success, Malamaal Weekly is set to return with a sequel. Directed by Priyadarshan, the 2006 comedy revolved around a misplaced winning lottery ticket in a small village, triggering chaos as residents scrambled for a share. The ensemble cast included the late Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Riteish Deshmukh. While an official announcement for Malamaal Weekly 2 is still awaited, Paresh, who played the lottery ticket seller in the original, confirmed the development. "Yes, it is true. I am doing the film," he told us exclusively. Interestingly, Priyadarshan had earlier directed Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal (2012), widely seen as a reboot of the original. That film also featured Paresh, Rajpal, Om and Nana Patekar....
