India, Jan. 29 -- Veteran santoor player Pandit Satish Vyas has been performing across the globe for over three decades, but he finds taking the stage in Pune to be challenging, yet rewarding. Ahead of his performance at Gangadhar Swarotsav 2025 on January 31, he says, "The audience in Pune is very learned. The attendees are purists of Indian classical music and they know the ragas that you play on stage. So, as an artiste you enjoy that, because they know when to applaud and encourage you. However, the performer also needs to be extremely careful, because audiences figure out when you go wrong, too."...
