India, Aug. 21 -- With the Harry Potter series being developed for television, the search for actors to portray the beloved characters is on. Recently, HBO announced the cast for most of the Weasley siblings via social media. The Weasley twins, Fred and George, will be played by Tristan Harland and Gabriel Harland, known for The Last Kingdom (2015). Ruari Spooner, who recently appeared in the short film Syncopation (2024), has been cast as Percy Weasley, while Gracie Cochrane, who had a small role in the film Blitz (2024), will play Ginny Weasley. The role of oldest brother Charlie Weasley, a dragon expert, remains uncast, though a recent post hinted of a reveal soon. It read, "Charlie's in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough." The actors for father Arthur Weasley and eldest son Bill Weasley have yet to be announced. Actor Katherine Parkinson has been confirmed to play Molly Weasley. Back in May, the studio revealed Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, with Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout cast as Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively.
