Make way for the white suit
India, Oct. 7 -- While a black or grey tuxedo-or suit, finds its rightful place in a gentleman's wardrobe, an all-white suit remains a rare and curious sight. But thanks to the likes of Pedro Pascal and Ayushmann Khurrana, the all-white suit is having a moment in fashion with several dandies wearing it for red carpet events. Pedro Pascal showed up at this year's Emmy Awards wearing a double-breasted white suit paired with sunglasses and white sneakers. The actor looked every inch the heartthrob in this natty all-white look. Back home, actor Sunny Kaushal cemented his style credentials in a white suit styled with a striped beige vest and a printed scarf. These men have already made a case for the all-white suit this season. Experts weigh in the trend.
"White suits balance sophistication with ease, embodying confidence, minimalism, and a new take on power dressing. Unlike darker tones, white offers a rare versatility, moving effortlessly from evening formals to destination weddings and even contemporary day wear," opines designer Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia from Nirmooha.
Stylist Isha Bhansali suggests not following the set rules when styling a white suit or tuxedo. " You can go all white head-to-toe and yet look classy like Pedro Pascal. In case you want to break the monotony, opt for a printed pocket square for that contrast," she says.
Designer Gaurav Khanijo emphasises on the fit of the suit. "It is the right fit that makes all the difference. You should look sharp and the fit should flatter your body," he suggests....
