India, Feb. 20 -- A report about a Gallup Poll in America recently caught my eye. Apparently, in 2019, more Americans visited the library than going to the movies. I wondered if this was indeed true, because America, as we know, is the grand temple of screen entertainment. Hollywood, TV shows and now OTT shows have become the global cultural exports forged in America. But, according to the report, "visiting the library remains the most common cultural activity Americans engage in, by far." In fact, as I discovered, library-going as an activity still seems to be popular across many developed countries. For instance, a 2014 study done in the UK measured which cultural activity makes people happier, and surprise, surprise, going to the library came up as one of the top activities....
