Lady Gaga makes history in Brazil
India, May 6 -- Lady Gaga performed a free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It drew 2.5 million attendees and surpassed singer Madonna's record to mark a milestone in the history of live performances. Taking to social media, the singer expressed her gratitude and wrote: "Nothing could prepare me for the feeling I had during last night's show- the absolute pride and joy I felt singing for the people of Brazil."
However, the event also saw the Brazilian police announce that they had thwarted a bomb attack that had been planned for the concert. Two people were arrested, including the brain behind the attack, who was a teenager.
