India, Aug. 11 -- A group of masked thieves stole about $7,000 worth of Labubu dolls from a Los Angeles (USA) store this week, reported the Sheriff's Department. The suspects used a stolen car for the theft, which was recovered shortly after the incident. Investigations are still on to find the culprits. The Labubu dolls were created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung and have become a collector's item a decade after the toothy monsters were first introduced. They have been popularised by celebrities, who have been spotted carrying these dolls as charms on their bags. The craze for these dolls was so high that they are sold out in many areas, prompting the introduction of resellers selling them at exorbitant prices and even production of fake Labubu dolls, too. The shop that got robbed took to Instagram and said that the thieves took all of their inventory and trashed the establishment. The store posted surveillance footage showing a group of people wearing hoodies and face coverings breaking in. AP...
