Karan Vohra says TV show ending in three months is "overwhleming": But closure is good
India, Aug. 2 -- After a lot of speculation, television daily Meri Bhavya Life has reportedly fallen prey to low ratings and is going off air. The lead actor of the show, Karan Vohra confirmed the news to us, stating, "Yes, it's ending. Recently, we shot the last episode."
Karan shared that his show ending in just three months was "overwhelming" for him. "Any project that you are associated with makes you emotional, especially if you are involved with it since its inception," he says, adding, "Having said that, I strongly feel I am getting used to this trend of TV shows being short-lived - 100 or 120 episodes to tell a story- compared to their predecessors that went on for years," he says.
Ask if it was the content that resulted in the show's end, and Karan says "the concept of our show was different" and not something "regular, run-of-the-mill". He feels that the biggest TV audience is no longer in the metro cities. "In smaller cities, people still crave those household dramas that have been an indispensable part of Indian television, and that might go against new storylines," he explains.
The actor, who has been a part of shows such as Zindagi Ki Mehek (2016) and Krishna Chali London (2018), wants to take a break before his next show. "In a way, getting closure on a positive note is always good, and as an actor, it's great if I get to play different characters all year round if shows are wrapped up in a few months," he says....
