Jadeja gets teary-eyed in match against ex-franchise CSK

onday's Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Guwahati turned unexpectedly emotional for cricketer Ravindra Jadeja.
A viral clip from the match shows the 37-year-old - now part of RR, where he began his IPL journey in 2008 before spending over a decade with CSK - appearing teary-eyed while fielding near the boundary at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
The moment came when CSK were struggling at 60 for 6, with cameras briefly panning to Jadeja.
The short clip quickly spread online, sparking speculation among fans that his reaction was linked to his long association with the franchise he once helped define.
Jadeja's relationship with CSK had taken a dramatic turn two seasons ago, when he was stripped of the captaincy midway through the campaign. He eventually parted ways with the franchise ahead of the 2026 season, joining RR in a high-profile trade that saw cricketer Sanju Samson move in the opposite direction.
