How to turn teenage hairfall into teenage dream hair
India, May 27 -- Going through teenage, styling, colouring, and doing up the hairstyle can be a form of forging one's identity and finding the self. But often, certain methods can cause damage lead to hair loss. Dr Viral Desai, board-certified super specialist, cosmetic, plastic and hair transplant surgeon and Medical Director at DHI India, spills the tea on the causes of teenage hair loss.
Using excessive heat styling (such as curling irons, flat irons, and blow drying), chemical treatments (like hair dye, bleach, and perms), and tight hairstyle (including ponytails, braids, and buns) can damage hair cuticles and structure, leading to breakage, hair loss, and in extreme cases even traction alopecia.
Use heat styling tools in moderation by limiting their use. When you do use them, use heat protectant spray to minimise the damage.
Opt for gentle, sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners that nourish hair.
Switch out your tight updos for looser styles and take regular breaks from the tighter ones.
Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals - particularly iron, zinc, and biotin - that help promote healthy hair growth....
