India, Dec. 16 -- The world of Hollywood and politics was left in shock on Sunday after legendary filmmaker Rob Reiner (78) and his wife Michele Singer (68) were found dead at their residence in Los Angeles, with authorities treating the case as a suspected homicide. The deaths were confirmed by a family spokesperson: 'We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time." As per a TMZ report, the bodies suffered lacerations consistent with knife wounds. There was no official statement from the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division till the time of going to press. Tributes flooded social media. Former US President Barack Obama wrote on X: "Beneath the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people."
