Hindi film on the cards for Rukmini Vasanth?
India, Dec. 15 -- Actor Rukmini Vasanth, who has worked in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films, now seems poised to make her mark in Hindi cinema. Offers have been pouring in since Kantara: Chapter 1 became a massive hit, emerging as the highest-grossing film of the year so far. Rukmini played the main antagonist, Princess Kanakavathi, alongside actor Rishabh Shetty, earning widespread praise for her performance.
When asked about her Hindi film debut, she says, "A lot of conversations have been happening around that, and it's something that I'm very excited about."
With six years in showbiz and rumoured to star in actor Yash's Toxic next, she credits her familiarity with Hindi to her Army background: "Hindi is a language I've been familiar with since I was very young, maybe due to the fauji connection; because Hindi is always a thread that connects every cantonment to the other. But I am excited to stretch that muscle because I have not really had the opportunity to emote yet in the language."
Meanwhile, Rukmini, who recently turned 29, described this birthday as "a little extra special". "I am getting to reflect on a lot of magic that's unfolded this year. I haven't been lucky enough to have a birthday on set, working. I am excited to have that in the coming times," she ends....
