Harrison Ford: They need old people, too
India, Aug. 1 -- Harrison Ford, who has been a part of Hollywood for decades now, said he has no plans to retire. In a new interview, the 83-year-old actor also opened up about receiving his first Emmy nomination for the comedy-drama series, Shrinking.
On being asked whether he will ever retire, Ford told Variety, "No. That's one of the things I thought was attractive about the job of an actor was that they need old people, too, to play old people's parts."

He added, "I'm grateful, but I would have done what I did - and I'll do what I'm doing - regardless of whether it's deemed worthy of mention or not. Because it's what I love doing. I love telling stories. I love pretending to be somebody else."
This year marked 10 years since Ford and actor Helen Mirren were involved in a near-fatal plane crash. When asked about the accident's impact on him, the actor said, "Did it have an impact? I suppose it did. I've been through a couple of big accidents that took a while to heal from. This is not something dismissed lightly, but shit happens; it was a mechanical issue that was judged to be beyond my control. If I'd been at fault, I would have taken another direction. But I don't think it informs my life on a day-to-day basis now that I've recovered sufficiently from the physical effects." HTC...
