India, June 6 -- A fter eight years of an on-off romance, actor Dakota Johnson and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have reportedly called it quits for good, sources confirmed to People. "It feels final this time," said one insider of the couple's breakup. The split comes just two weeks after they were seen together in Malibu on May 16, looking very much in sync as they stepped out for a casual outing. The duo had also been spotted holding hands in January during Martin's tour in India. The pair first became romantically linked in 2017, sparking speculation and interest from fans ever since. According to The US Sun, the couple struggled with their 13-year age gap and differing views on having children, which often caused friction in their relationship. "Dakota has been desperate for her and Chris to work out for years. Every time they broke up, she was devastated and in tears. Even some of Dakota's team would have to console her when they were apart. She could never move on," the source shared. The insider also revealed the couple's deeply affectionate bond, saying, "She really loves him and his children, and he deeply loves her. But things were just never lining up for them.
