India, Sept. 28 -- L
ast Monday (September 22), we had exclusively reported that Fatima Sana Shaikh was never cast in director Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film The Wives, despite earlier buzz linking her to the project.
The filmmaker eventually went ahead with actors Regina Cassandra, Sonali Kulkarni, and Mouni Roy in lead roles. And the shoot has already been wrapped.

This development marks the second missed collaboration between the actor and the National Award-winning filmmaker.
We reached out to the studio but they refused to comment on the matter....
