DP subtly responds to Kalki sequel ouster?
India, Sept. 21 -- Deepika Padukone has confirmed that she will star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in King just days after the makers of Kalki 2989 AD (2023) confirmed she will not be a part of the sequel.

Deepika debuted with Shah Rukh in Om Shanti Om (2007), and later teamed up for Chennai Express (2013), Happy New Year (2014), Pathaan (2023) and Jawan (2023).
Her announcement came just days after production house Vyjayanthi Movies revealed that they had "parted ways" with her for Kalki after "careful consideration," claiming the film demanded a "higher level of commitment."
Reddit users quickly dubbed her post a "subtle flex", with one fan writing, "She called in the final boss to end all the PR drama." Another added, "She showed them how to respond with grace and dignity. The subtle flex, cherry on the cake." htc...
