India, Aug. 25 -- A picture circulating on social media claimed Kuala Lumpur-based Malik Streams was hosting a contest to meet actor Rajinikanth. When some PR professionals called it 'fake' and warned fans, the organisers threatened legal action for damaging their reputation. A PR representative, Riaz KAhmed, who has worked closely on Rajinikanth's films, including his latest release, director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, posted a statement on X on Saturday, cautioning fans against participating in what he called a "fake" contest running without the actor's permission. As the news spread of the contest being labelled as fake, Malik Streams issued a statement threatening legal action. They warned that spreading false information about their marketing or harming their reputation won't be tolerated and will lead to legal action. After initial confusion, Riaz clarified that the Malik Streams contest is legitimate, properly organised, and open to fans, as he thanked them for their support. (see inset). htc...
