India, Oct. 2 -- Having grown up in Delhi, actor Chitrangda Singh loves the smell of winter - especially as it changes during the festive season. "Dussehra is the beginning of that change," the 49-year-old tells us, adding, "It's just a great vibe for the family season; this is when we start to make plans for the festivities." Growing up, Ravana Dahan was a big part of her celebrations. She recalls, "My dad was in the Army and if he wasn't there, there'd be somebody's father to gather all the kids and take them. That was a big deal for us kids... As I've grown up, the celebrations have become much simpler with a puja at home and just being with family." The actor feels that the sense of togetherness has begun dwindling now: "Festivals are more about the community coming together, but it has now become very individualistic, and a little more commercial. It has lost its innocence a little bit." But Chitrangda focuses on the message Dussehra propagates: the triumph of good over evil. "We all want to believe in the good, especially in cinema. I believe it's true in real life. too. Even if you make a lot of money and you gain a lot from the evil or the bad, it does corrode you from inside, you can't escape it," she says. So, is there any evil or negativity that she wants to burn today? "I want to burn away my anxiety of getting what I want or what I have been waiting for... I am grateful for what I have today, more than ever. I don't know if I want to even ask for more," Chitrangda signs off....
