Arjun: Constant work isn't a must, family comes first
India, May 11 -- Unlike many TV actors who jump from one daily soap to the next, Arjun Bijlani is choosing to hit pause - and for a deeply personal reason. The actor, whose latest music video Ho Jaa dropped recently, is in no rush to commit to the demanding schedule of a television show. His priority right now? Quality time with his 10-year-old son, Ayaan. "Since I'm not doing a daily show at the moment, I can spend more time with Ayaan. I know he needs me. In another two or three years, he'll be a teenager - busy with friends and school - and this window to travel and create memories with him won't come back," he says.
The actor adds, "A lot of people realise too late that they've missed the most important phase of their child's life. I don't want to be one of them." Having been part of several popular shows such as Pyar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti, Ishq Mein Marjawan and Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Arjun says he's taking his time with what's next. While he is reading scripts, he remains selective. His focus, for now, also includes his mother, Shakti, who was hospitalised earlier this year and is gradually recovering.
"She's 74, and her illness at the start of the year was a wake-up call. I make it a point to be around her and attend family gatherings. Money can buy a lot, but these moments are priceless. Success isn't always about wealth - because not every rich person is a happy one," he signs off....
