India, May 4 -- Content creator Apoorva Mukhija, who found herself in the middle of controversy for "indecent speech" on the YouTube show India's Got Latent (IGL), opened up about the toll trolling has had on her. "People found my parents' social media accounts. My mother's account was public; for the first two days, I was only thinking about myself. I didn't think about what was happening [to my parents]," Apoorva said in a recent interview. The 23-year-old added that the wave of abusive messages adversely affected her mum's health. "She got rape threats. I didn't know until three days later, when my brother told me mum's BP shot up; it could have led to a heart attack," she told Yuvaa. The content creator added that she felt guilty after learning of the abuse. "I asked my brother, 'Mummy ne kya kiya?' and he told me, 'Bas likha, I am proud of my daughter aur comments off kar diye'. That hurt, because I wanted to do a lot of things for her." Earlier this year, Apoorva, along with fellow creators Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina faced criticism and even FIRs for their segment on IGL, even after they each apologised following the outrage....
