India, July 17 -- Earlier this month, Anupam Kher, along with directors Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap were among the 842 new members invited by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The senior actor, who has an extensive career in Hindi cinema and Hollywood including films and TV shows, is elated about the academy membership. He says, "Any honour is humbling. My reference point for any kind of achievement is not what I have achieved but where I came from. I started from a small town Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. My father was a clerk, and from that point, if I measure my graph, this become even more special as it is not just an honour for me but for my country as well. Moreover, for an Indian actor who has been invited to the academy, it is a double joy."...
