An eco-friendly Ganesha celebration
India, Aug. 24 -- With the festive season around the corner, Mumbaikars are preparing to welcome Lord Ganesha on his chariot as the city buzzes with activity. Among Mumbai's many pandals, the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja draws the most attention. Not far from it, ITC Grand Central joins the celebration with a sustainable Ganesha installation. This adorable eco-friendly Ganesha idol is crafted from coconut shells and the husk of the fruit, along with bamboo, jute thread, and money plants, symbolising a conscious, nature-friendly approach to the festival.
As modaks, usually made with rice flour and coconut- Lord Ganesha's favourite sweet - remain central to the celebration, Fabelle's Chocolate Modaks offer a modern twist on the traditional sweet. On the other hand, at Dakshin, the Saivam thali offers a medley of South Indian vegetarian delicacies during this festive season. If you plan a visit the nearby Ganpati pandals during the celebration, book a day-use room with 50% savings.
