Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par date with Indian Army
India, Aug. 15 -- Actor Aamir Khan celebrated his latest film Sitaare Zameen Par with the Indian Army in a special screening. A viral video shows the actor watching the film with the jawans on YouTube, visibly touched by the moment.
The screening comes after Aamir adopted a unique pay-per-view release model, making the film available on his YouTube channel for Rs.100 instead of a traditional OTT release. In an interview, he explained that the approach aims to reach audiences who don't have easy access to theatres.
Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir and Genelia Deshmukh, is a Hindi adaptation of the Spanish hit Campeones (2018). The film follows basketball coach Gulshan Arora, who is tasked with training a team of adults with intellectual disabilities.
