India, Dec. 27 -- A ctor Samir Soni has returned to acting after nearly two years with a show in the vertical storytelling format, a mobile-first narrative style designed for short, engaging content. Reflecting on the shift in storytelling formats, from films to television, then web series, and now vertical storytelling, Samir says the change has been inevitable. He shares, "The attention span of the audience has decreased tremendously over the years. People spend more time on their phones than anywhere else. The shift isn't sudden but a natural progression." Elaborating further, he says, "At the core, it's still storytelling, and you have to adapt to what audiences want. But the vertical storytelling format is relatively new here so we don't know how audiences will respond. For me, it's another platform for creative expression, and that's exciting." The 55-year-old, currently seen in Chhupa Rustom Billionaire, adds that his primary goal as an actor remains unchanged, regardless of the medium: "I'm an actor. I enjoy acting and portraying interesting characters. The platform has never been an issue for me." Addressing his absence from television and mainstream OTT projects in recent years, Samir says, "I wasn't being offered work that excited me. Acting is a creative process; the role has to resonate with me. If it doesn't work for me creatively, I won't do it."...
