India, Oct. 11 -- The inheritance dispute over late businessman Sunjay Kapur's assets has taken yet another dramatic turn. Sunjay's children with former wife, actor Karisma Kapoor, have now accused his third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, of treating them with a vindictive "Cinderella stepmother" approach. At the heart of the Rs.30,000 crore legal battle is a will dated March 21, 2025, which allegedly bequeaths Sunjay's entire personal estate to Priya. Samaira and Kiaan, Sunjay and Karisma's children, claim that Priya is attempting to transfer a significant portion of their father's assets to her own children, thereby diminishing their rightful inheritance. The case, which began last month, is now before the Delhi High Court. Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, appearing for Samaira and Kiaan, described the situation as "a criminal conspiracy" involving Priya and her associates: "The tearing hurry was to appropriate everything before the children could act... This is no benign stepmother; this is Cinderella's stepmother."
