'Rab ne woh jodi mere liye nahin banayi'
India, Nov. 21 -- Filmmaker Karan Johar recently opened up with vulnerability, admitting to feeling lonely at times, especially when he has no one to eat with or celebrate his achievements with. While the filmmaker has accepted his singlehood, he also believes in "never say never" when it comes to finding love again.
Speaking on former tennis star Sania Mirza's podcast, the 53-year-old said, "I'm okay now. There was a point in time when I really wanted love. I wanted companionship, I wanted a relationship. And I went through all kinds of dynamics, a broken heart, and one-sided love. I even made a film (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, 2016) on it. That was cathartic; it helped me heal."
He added how he has often been advised to 'put himself out there' or 'go abroad', adding, "Go where? I live here, I have a mom and two kids. I have to live here. I've gone through those beats, and I do get lonely; it's a reality. You get the loneliest in your highs, not your lows. Eating alone is another thing that makes you feel lonely."
Remarking how he told the best love stories but unfortunately didn't have one himself, he wistfully shared, "Rab ne woh jodi mere liye nahin banayi." htc...
