India, Oct. 15 -- Actor, VJ, author, and now culinary content creator- Maria Goretti says that she discovered her passion for cooking only after becoming a mother. On World Students' Day, the 53-year-old looks back at her decision to return to school in her 40s and pursue her dream of becoming a chef. "The year I turned 40, I went to culinary school, Tante Marie (UK). The kids were small; I had to coordinate with Arshad (Warsi, actor-husband) so one of us could be with them," she recalls. Her learning journey didn't stop there. She shares, "The second time I returned to college, I enrolled for an 18-week course spread across the year. We would be in the kitchen Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm. I had to change campuses from Paris to London and back to complete three levels before earning the degree." Maria admits that juggling studies while experiencing perimenopause was difficult. "I would study hard but couldn't remember a thing due to brain fog. I cried worrying I would fail, but you just have to trust yourself," she reflects. Her proudest moment came at her graduation: "My children attended my graduation in Paris and Arshad joined in a bit later, post his shoot, for the celebrations... It's never too late to study."...
