India, Oct. 3 -- It may have taken him 13 years, but Enrique Iglesias is finally returning to Indian shores. Ask the singer about the gap between visits and he replies, "It just takes time to go around the world and then return. But I would definitely love to come to India more often in the future." Ahead of his much-anticipated Mumbai show later this month, the 50-year-old admits that he is hyped to perform for Indian fans again. "The energy is incredible. The crowds, the fans, the people. Everything is always amazing," he says. And the fans are clearly just as excited. When the Spaniard first announced his India show earlier this year, his stop in the country was supposed to be a one-night-only performance. But the demand for tickets was so high that it sold out and another date was added. Was he surprised? "You never know [what will happen] when you first announce shows, but I will say that I had a great feeling about India specifically. The fans there are so amazing and dedicated," Enrique shares. During his last visit to India in 2012, the singer had expressed his admiration for Indian music. With several collaborations with Indian artistes including Sunidhi Chauhan, his India connect goes way back. "I am always listening and watching [the Indian scene]," he admits, adding, "While I have done duets and remixes with various Indian artistes in the past, I am always considering collaborations for the future." Given his heartthrob persona, has he ever gotten casting offers from Bollywood filmmakers? "If I could dance, maybe it would work," he responds with a smile. As he completes three decades in the music industry, we ask him about the evolution of music and style. Interestingly, however, the singer flips the question. "I would divert that question right back to the fans," he says. But is there something he would change in his journey so far? "I would have loved to come to India hundreds of more times," he quips, signing off....
