India, Oct. 28 -- American actor Gabriel Luna is globally renowned today, thanks to his work in The Last Of Us, Terminator and Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Recently, he appeared in the true crime story, Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, playing Detective Rafael Tovar, who investigated the whole case. Reflecting on the global popularity he enjoys, Gabriel says, "You want to connect with people and it happening on a global scale is rare. With streaming, we are able to tell stories of unsung heroes on a global scale. It's a privilege that anything you do connects with people across the world. I still freak out that people even know who I am in places outside the US." Talking about his show, Gabriel says, "I've played characters that are either super heroic or super villainous, irrespective, they were invulnerable. But I loved how vulnerable this guy was. He tried to be as involved as he possibly could not only in the investigative elements of the case, but also in the excavation of the scene, in the pursuit of discovering and identifying the young men and boys who were the victims. His whole life became about this crusade of restoring humanity for these people." Actor Michael Chernus plays the titular serial killer in the show, and a mutual friend helped Gabriel connect with him. "Paul Walter Hauser, who has played a serial killer in another show, found out that Michael and I were working together and reached out to both of us with a word of caution. He asked us to preserve our mental state and protect ourselves. We went into the show deciding that we were going to be each other's tether. We are good friends and all the animosity you see on screen is just him being a great actor and me responding to him."...
