Sri Lanka, Dec. 2 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide US $ 400 million in financial assistance for the development of Sri Lanka's education sector.

Country Director, Sri Lanka Resident Mission at Asian Development Bank (ADB) Chen Chen, stated that the purpose is to respond to the challenges facing the education sector in Sri Lanka in the face of the coronavirus global pandemic.

He also said that this financial assistance will help to equip the youth of this country with skills for a knowledge based economy.
