Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a rock attack on a tipper truck transporting garbage from Colombo to Aruvakaru.

The police said that the attack had taken place early this morning near the Puttalam town and damaged the tipper vehicles.

Three tipper trucks have been attacked in this manner. There have been several public protests to garbage being transported from Colombo to Aruvakkaru on previous occasions.

The suspects are residents of Puttalam.
