Sri Lanka, March 22 -- The Hindu newspaper revealed that the members of a politician linked to the Tamil Nadu political party, DMK are partners of the controversial oil refinery plant to be built in Hambantota.

In an article written by Colombo based reporter for the Hindu, Meera Srinivasan states that of the total project cost of 3.85 billion US dollars, 1887 million US dollars is to be provided by a Singapore based company - Silver Park International.

The newspaper further reveals that 3 out of 4 board of directors of Silver Park International are members of a former Union, Minister of State under the DMK government, S. Jagathrakshakan.

Srinivasan pointed out that a large stake of this oil refinery will be claimed by Indian nationals....
