Sri Lanka, Nov. 18 -- The government parliamentary group will meet today to decide whether to hold a parliamentary election

and to decide on the future action. The meeting will be held in the Parliament complex at 2 pm under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. A meeting of government ministers and party leaders was held at Temple Trees last evening chaired by the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development has resigned from his portfolio. In a note on his Facebook account, he said he would resign from the post in honor of the public opinion.
