Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- The Public Health Inspectors' Association stated that the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases reported in the Katunayake Export Processing Zone has become a risky situation but steps are being taken to control the situation.

Meanwhile, with the reopening of essential goods shops in curfew areas, long queues were observed in some places.

With the 68 new coronavirus caes that reported yesterday (15), the total number of the Brandix coronavirus cluster has increased to 1,789.

Among them, 22 persons were undergoing quarantine, while the other 46 are reported to be assosiates of the Brandix factory in Minuwangoda.
