Sri Lanka, March 20 -- The Resolution on Sri Lanka's process of reconciliation and accountability Co-Sponsored by 5 countries including UK and Germany is to be tabled at the 40th Session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The resolution which focuses on steps that Sri Lanka should take on strengthening reconciliation, Accountability and Human Rights in Sri Lanka is Co-Sponsored by UK, Canada, Germany, Macedonia and Montenegro.

It also calls on commitments made through the resolutions in 2015 and 2017 be fulfilled as well.

Meanwhile, Retired Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara addressed the council session yesterday.
