Sri Lanka, March 21 -- The Court today rejected the request made by former Chairman of the Litro Gas Company Shalila Munasinghe who is accused of accessing without permission the computer system of the Taiwan-Far Eastern Bank, to go overseas.

The Case in connection with this was taken up for hearing today in the presence of Colombo Fort Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake and on this occasion the lawyers representing his client, the former Chairman, requested permission for him to go abroad.

However, subsequent to considering the facts, the Chief Magistrate said that if the suspect goes overseas it will cause obstructions to the case hearing.
