Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- A Ceylon Workers Congress member of the Hatton-Dickoya Municipal Council had obstructed Public Health Inspector R.S. Medawala when he tried to remove an illegal shop set up near the main road in Aluthgama, Hatton which has been quarantined after 11 coronavirus patients have been identified.

The Public Health Inspector had lodged a complaint with the police stating that the councilor had obstructed his duties by threatening him when he went to remove a vegetables stand following a complaint that the shop owner was selling vegetables in violation of quarantine laws.
