Sri Lanka, Oct. 25 -- Former minister Patali Champika Ranawaka yesterday (24) filed preliminary objections to his being named a respondent at the presidential commission on political victimizations.

The commission was taking up a complaint made by minister Udaya Gammanpila.

The complainant says he was politically victimized during the previous regime when evidence was fabricated against him that he had faked an attorney license to sell company shares of an Australian Brian Shaddick in 1997.

Ranawaka as well as former IGPs N.K. Illangakoon and Pujith Jayasundara and several others have been cited as the respondents.
