Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- It has been decided to conduct PCR tests on Sri Lankans arriving in Sri Lanka from abroad at the Bandaranaike International Airport Katunayake (BIA) premises and enable them to leave for their homes within a few hours based on the results.

This was stated at a discussion held at the Ministry of Health today (16).

Accordingly, the PCR tests are expected to be carried out in the laboratory currently set up at the BIA, and they will be sent home without a hotel quarantine.

The discussion was held at the Ministry under the patronage of Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and was attended by Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, State Minister of Airport Development D.V. Chanaka.
