Sri Lanka, July 12 -- Member of the Bandaragama Pradeshiya Sabha Mohammed Imitiaz who is accused of having influenced witnesses who provided evidence in favour of the Muslim woman in Bandaragama - Atalugama who revealed that she was harassed, has been remanded until 25 of this month on the orders of the Magistrate of Panadura Chandana Kalansuriya.

That was while finding fault with releasing the suspect on bail when he surrendered to the Bandaragama Police, even when the Court had ordered the Police that the member be arrested and produced before the Court.

During the previous Court session, the Magistrate had ordered the Bandaragama Police to arrest the suspect and produce him before Court.
